Tried to quit Nikotin use this morning. Ended up very restless, and got the shakes. Even my voice was shaking when I talked. Ease into it instead my GF told me. So that's the new strategy. Reduce use for a week and try again.

I have been vaping a few years and feel comfortable with it. However, since absorbing some good addiction knowledge lately, I felt like challenging myself. Fun little side project.

Good luck. Worthwhile to do even if it takes you a bit longer

Liv. I agree with you. Being in control is better. Have already reduced a lot and feel this can be done. Got motivated by the recent removal of addictive foods, and the fact that reducing addiction's in general makes the spirit stronger. Bit of a mind building project. Why not. I'll go for it. Nikotin can be ok sometimes. I know academics that only occasionally drink some a stimulator on very demanding days. Like a tea. That sounds like a better relation to this stuff. Not for daily use.

Good luck. Nicotine patches were very effective in my case.

Yes, 'reducing addictions in general makes the spirit stronger'. Why are we so disposed to addictive behavior? I don't get it; it's a struggle for so many. Mine is sugar. That makes some people scoff, but it would kill me if I didn't fight it off every day.

Excited about getting a very good sleep quality report this morning. Hardly used my vaping device in the afternoon/evening yesterday (like I do with Caffeine). I'll be more than happy to trade the vaping habit with better quality sleep. Unlike tobacco, vaping is easier to control. Electric power can be adjusted. I've now gone down to a third of what I used to. Dose of nic can easily be adjusted too. Advantages not found in tobacco.

erikahollister Looked into sugar, that is 50% Fructose and 50% Glucose. The Fructose part is very unfriendly to the body. The Glucose part is not so bad. Like white rice is Glucose, and our body is able to recognize rice, and therefore provide a healthy fullness signal. Fructose is a drug that spin up appetite to a high degree. To me this explain why people in the East keep lean bodies with rice in their diet. Mix in some Fructose, and they get in trouble too. Low FODMAP helped me finding some foods to try. Low Fructose foods.

Oh boy, that doesn't sound fun. you can do it. . I read that nicotine from vaping hits you a lot faster and stronger. I can't remember the specifics, but it was not good. you can do it.
