Your weight loss is incredible. I'm sure lots of hard work was put in it. I'm trying to loose weight too. Started at 155 kilos in February. Now I'm 133 kilos which is 12 kilos loss but I feel I should be loosing faster. I was just wondering how many kcal do you eat a day? Of course if you don't mind sharing.

Thank you! I don't mind at all. I stick to between 1200 and 1400 calories a day. Because of my PCOS my doctor originally put me on Orlistat (the only weight loss drug the NHS will provide). I haven't take it for ages now because I was scared that I would find it impossible to maintain a healthy weight if I needed meds to lose it all, but I stick to the low fat levels that it needs. I don't eat anything with more than 5g of fat per 100g serving (unless I have a serious craving for cheese) and no more than 15g of fat per meal. I'm not as strict with it as I used to be but I still try to keep my foods below 7g of fat per 100g serving even when I'm being a little naughty.

Izabela, this time last year I was begging people to tell me what to do. It's so strange to me to be the one people are asking but if I can repay the kindness the community here showed me I won't hesitate! Stick with it (and with us) and you'll get there.

Frankie you seem like such a kind person. Thanks again for tips! I have a question: you said you currently eat 1200-1400kcal a day. Did you start off with that as well?

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. Izabela when I started I had 1200 as my daily limit and found I was still putting weight on. I don't know if the whole 'starvation mode' theory is right or if it's just my metabolism but I gambled and upped my limit to 1400 after the first month or so and I've been losing weight pretty steadily every since

Frankie I started at 1800 kcal and recently trying to decrease it to 1650 kcal. I tried a lot of "starvation diets" because I suffer with EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) which means mixed symptoms of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating (the last one got totally out of control in recent years that contributed to a huge weight gain alongside PCOS, psych medication and other stuff..). I found that starvation diets did indeed sometimes cause on and off weight gain, I guess due to affecting metabolism in a bad way. So I definitely agree with what you said. I'm thinking once I get used to 1650kcal I will decrease it further to speed up weight loss.
