I forgot to mention, I saw the orthopedic surgeon last week and the reason my foot hurts and is swollen is a fracture within the fusion sight. So, back to the boot for 6 weeks. I can take it off to drive and walk into the Y for swimming and stationary bike. Not so bad.
Spring is slowly creeping in here in the north country. There are still nights in the 30s but there have been a few days in the 60s. I'll take it. Before you know it I will be walking outdoors on my own two feet. It has been a long haul as the joint fusion surgery on that foot was at the end of August. It will be more than 9 months with little or no walking on that foot.
