So I watched a movie last night my DH had me get from Netflix; Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. It's a documentary about this guy from Australia who goes on a 60 day juice fast. He lost 87 lbs in 60 days!!! Holy crap!!! He also had a medical condition that eventually resolved itself. Once off the juice fast he remained on fruits, veggies, and other whole foods. Pretty interesting.

DH has been juicing some as of late and has tried to talk me into joining him. We are going to try 3 days this weekend as we both have Saturday, Sunday and Monday off work. Wish me luck. No coffee. Oh no. How I love my coffee. I'm drinking coffee right now!!! So we decided to take our Christmas money (we have $250 between the two of us) and apply it to a new juicer and off we go. I was super excited last night and now I'm frightened. I don't do change well and I am afraid I will gain weight on a juice fast!! Silly? Probably but that's me. Silly. I know darn well I don't eat enough fruits or veggies. It isn't that I don't like them I just do things quickly and for convenience. Well that is changing. DH is motivated. He really wants to take charge of his health. We don't have any intention right now of doing 60 days but we can start with 3 and see where it leads us. I might even do 4 because I have January 1st off too. See how I feel, take it a step at a time? Oh my.

Anyway ... today is Friday and the beginning of another 4 days off work. That is always good. I have three clients to see right away this morning, catch up on the paperwork ... head to the grocery store to stock up on fruit and veggies and home I shall go.

My scale I'm pretty sure is possessed. It can't decide what I weigh. I was everywhere from 218.8 to 220. I took the lowest number and entered it here. Who knows if it is accurate but I liked the number!!

I changed my profile picture on facebook to one of me and DH at Cafe Roma in Puerto Vallarta ... when I was at my lowest weight. Boy do I look different!! Oh I was tan too ... imagine that. That is what I want to look like. Not skinny by any means but certainly looking fit, glowing, happy, full of life. If I visualize that perhaps that will get me through the temptations of indulgences that in the long run do not serve me well. I want to feel comfortable again. I liked how that felt. I know I am on my way ... just impatient.

Our landline finally got fixed yesterday. We've been without a landline for more than a week. It took 3 service calls to get someone out here. We have cell coverage at home but it isn't predictable so we feel more comfortable having a landline too.

Yesterday I figured out how to set up my iPad with my cellular service too!! So productive!!! It was only an extra $10 a month with my plan so that was nice. It will be nice to have that option at work where I do not have wifi.

Well ... I feel like this journal is quite disjointed. Nevertheless ... since most of my buddies haven't been around lately ... I guess it doesn't matter. After all I really write this for me. Although I must say I really miss my old buddies. I have three pages of "buddies" and very few are around anymore. So sad.

Grateful always ...

* for my fatsecret buddies who are still here!!! I so look forward to checking in with you!!

* for feeling more positive lately ... definitely an improvement

* DH being motivated to do something for himself. I want to be supportive.

* SLOWLY ... the days are getting longer ... now if only the sun would shine just a bit!!!

* Safe travels, loving friends and family, belonging.

Mindful of being kind to myself, counting my blessings I move on into my day. Thank you for taking the time to visit me today. Thank you Moose for taking the time to take care of yourself this morning!!!

Love the juicing, Carol. So glad for your DH and what it seems to be doing for his health AND morale. What is he juicing? green is best. The carrots have ridiculous amounts of sugar. spinach is very laxative. Lol. Would love to hear more, so happy about your landline. I have that problem with one of mine. eyed to follow your lead and get mine fixed. Have a wonderful day, you and your sweet DH.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what to juice!! We have spinach, parsley, carrots, bell pepper, celery, apples, oranges, cucumbers, tomatoes, bok choy, grapefruit at home right now. I have a couple books that suggest mixing carrots/apples with the greens ... to make it more palatable. I'm really not sure at all what I'm doing ... just faking it!!!

Good Morning Carol!! It sounds like you are really motivated. I have to read up on that diet. I have never heard of it but it sounds intriguing. I like anything new and I need some new motivation. I'm not sure either but who knows. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Or lost as the case may be.

Hey Girl..I'm sure you can do this for at least 3 days..and it will be an adventure doing with your DH...I think we all need some motivation right now..after eating the way we have..me for sure...Hugs.sweetie...:O)
