Doing all the right things. Staying way low on calories, carbs and sugars. Only did minor exercise yesterday but wasn’t sedentary. Have only had drops in my journey so the trend was bound to come to an end. May have a cheat day soon if I don’t drop tomorrow.

Are you staying too low on calories?

Yes, too low. But I don’t see how that can cause a gain. I used lemon pepper seasoning on my salmon and was very salty—-too salty—-but drank a lot of H20 after...thought that would take care of flushing it out.

Lynn, there have been many posts by people who have done 700-800 calories per day. Each stated that their bodies held on to the weight. When they upped their calorie intake, the weight started to come off again.

Additionally, you are nearing your goal, weight loss can fluctuate. Just my thoughts. You will do what you think is best. Take care. 💞

I’ve got a mental block on that. I can see on paper that it can work and hear experience but it is hard to let myself do it. I’ll try to increase to over 1000 today. My goal on here says I should be 1600 daily. For the most part I have just been eating a good healthy meal every night and drinking a lot of water. To me, mentally, that makes the most sense.

Lynnmriley68, my number is 1600 on this site, too. I use it as an outside goal but try to always come in under it. However, I log every activity I do so that I have at least a 500 calorie deficit every day. Sometimes I have over 100, which would mean a 600 calorie day. Try letting your body figure out how much it needs to keep instead of trying to limit yourself. You may find that it's more relaxing -- and you continue to lose! I'm down almost 25 pounds doing it this way (except when I have adult beverages...)

Good for you Lynn. At 1000 calories you should be getting more nutritional benefits from your food. As an aside, I had salmon last night as well. Love the taste and its great healthy attributes.
