Hello everyone!!! I've been MIA for the past week (don't know if anyone noticed). I've been extremely busy at work and worked my butt off (I wish I could sat literally. LOL) at home getting ready for a big party Sat. night. I worked every night outside sometimes even after it was dark out. Mowed, pulled weeds, landscaping, painting, ect.... Then came in the house and did house work late everynight. Friday night I finished pulling weeds until it rained, about 7:00. Made the mistake of sitting down. I was exausted. I had planned on starting to cook for the party and finishing cleaning up in the house. I told my husband I didn't think I could do anything else. Ended up lounging on the couch all night and in bed by about 10:00. Got up Sat. about 8:00 a.m. and was in high gear all day. The graduation party turned out great. The only problem was that it turned off cold and really windy, 20-25 mph, all day. I was upset because I couldn't set out any of the decorations I bought to put on the tables and stuff. We had a bon fire but the wind was so strong you could sit around half of it because of the smoke. Finally in the early evening it died down and it was comfortable enough sit around and visit. I was so proud of myself on my eating. I ran out of time to make a special side dish for me. I was going to try to make the cauliflower salad that is similar to potato salad. But it was still all good. We smoked a turkey and pork loin so I had my meat. And I made a veggie tray so I had veggies from that and deviled eggs. I have to admit that I did catch myself licking my fingers when I was making the cupcakes a couple times but nothing major. I can't beleive I stayed away from the potato salad, chips, baked beans, blackberry cobbler, and cupcakes. So proud of myself. We also have like a 20 gal. kettle that we made bean soup in and we had cornbread. Everyone was talking about how good everything was but I did not give in. I also can't believe I made all of that food and still managed to stay away. I did partake in a little too much drinking of alcohol. Hey, it was a party and I was celebrating my daughter's graduation!!! I did good getting my water in Sat. but not so much on Sun. Had a busy day after the party. Got up and washed up the dishes from the party, fixed everyone a big breakfast. The we had to go to the graduation ceremony. Afterwards we went out to eat for my son's birthday. I came so close to breaking down and getting a sandwich with pita bread but my daughter talked me out of it. I had a pork stead and a wonderful greek salad. I could have eaten two of those salads and been happy. The pork was good too but that salad was amazing. So yeah, pretty busy weekend. Graduation party, graduation, son's birthday, and Mother's day. Didn't really celebrate Mother's Day but I figured I had my kids with me and we were celebrating their lives. That is what being a Mom is all about. So to me it was a wonderful Mother's Day. Now I am exausted. My body is tired. I havn't been to Zumba for the past two weeks. First week I was sick and last week I was just too busy. I'm going to have to get back on track. Trying to catch up on the water I missed yesterday. With all of this craziness I lost at least a half a pound. It is kind of hard to judge because I brought my scales into work for our little challenge we are doing. I am used to weighing in the morning totally nude. So I know the clothes are effecting my weight. I weighed myself on my old scales at home and it showed I lost a couple lbs. which I was really excited about. So I don't know how to record here at work. But from last weeks weigh in here to today I lost 1/2 lb. So I'm going with that. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy Belated Mother's Day!!! And good luck for this week.

I'm glad you are back. Sounds like you have been extremely busy. At least it's all behind you and now you can focus on what you need to.
