Anyone else experience this? Tried a solid food fast since yesterday... lasted till about 3:30 p.m. today and ate a days worth of calories in one sitting. I don't recall being so weak and famished during earlier times in my journey! Am I fighting my body?! Is homeostasis the culprit? I'm not doing anything except walking and a ton of driving (to/from the medical center). Thoughts?

I'm with you. I have been so weak lately. You have come a long way, be pround of what you have accomplished, don't beat yourself over it. You can always try to do better next time.

I took about 3 weeks off, eating what I wanted and what I shouldn't. Starting again is hard for me after so much time off. It was like I was on auto pilot before, the plan just worked and I didn't get hungry during the times I wasn't supposed to eat (typically after 2pm). I don't know what it's been like for you with the move and everything. I just need a routine to be successful. I'm not even walking anymore due to allergies. I've noticed I'm hungry all the time and really have to fight it.

Just KCKO. You know how ...just don't put limits on how long it should take you to ramp up. One day at a time...be kind to yourself. ...I KNOW how this feels.

Could be low salt, which washes out during a fast. We need electrolytes to live, and we are designed to utilize salt as that electrolyte.

Thanks @thsiun. Hmm, hadn't thought of that @Draglist - will check it out. @Frizy_22 - the proverbial dust from the move is settling, but I guess the fight goes on! Thanks, @Judyrose1997 - I am my own WORST critic. Come to think of it @moogiemynes, I've been voiding at a higher rate - curious.

Sometimes it’s just easier than others, but as dragslist says, if you’re not fat adapted before a fast it’s REALLY HARD
Keep going, you can do it !!

Driving can be a killer to everything.

I like the advice of Andreas Eenfeldt, M.D., et.al., at DietDoctor.com: If you feel hungry, eat. If you don't feel hungry, don't eat."

I have moved from IF to mixing it up with 5-2 days of Fast Mimicking Dieting where I am eating 400-700 cal on 2 days a week and 1200-1700 on the other 5. Seems to work better now that I’m getting closer to ‘goal’ weight territory and keep hunger at bay. But I can’t go water only due to meds. I go liquid only on some days and seem to do fine, but it is so variable for me. 🤷🏻♀️

Appreciate that, @gaelicgal! Oh yes, tell me about it @cstella1! But, wait @Miraculum, that's TOO easy (LOL!) I think I'll get my fat back to where it needs to be and THEN try that 5-2, @smprowett - thanks!
