You know I see all these folks eating half a head of lettuce and squash salad, etc, and that’s okay. But it’s not for everyone. You have to be happy and enjoy eating. So my rule of thumb for me is baby steps. Maybe substitute mustard for mayo, that’s less cals or if you drink 3 cokes a day make it 2 and stick a 16oz bottle of water with each meal! That’s a small change and you don’t have to do it all at once, choose a small goal. I promise your body will notice and you won’t go into oh God I’m on a diet again mode. It sure helped me

You got it Debbie. Look at the foods that you love and enjoy eating and see if you can make a tweak here and there or a substitution or a slight portion decrease. Deprivation diets seldom work. It’s all about making healthIER choices most of the time and less than healthy choices once in a while.
