Any chance of you posting videos of these workouts on Vimeo , Dailymotion, or such? That sounds like a relatable and inspiring channel I would follow and stick with.

T8U9--I want to help but I don't know what you mean by posting the workout--video of ME working out? 😳 I don't post photos/ videos of myself online. I'd be happy to list what I do @ the gym though. Maybe I could add a link to someone doing each move on YouTube? The cardio in my living room basically boils down to dance-- I spent A LOT of Friday nights in industrial style dance clubs in San Francisco in my very early 20's---danced for hours & hours usually left @ 3am. No booze. It was practically a religious experience. 😂VERY good, crazy times.

BC, I didn't really think you'd post them. :-) Just that your body weight exercises and living room cardio sound REAL and unchoreographed and that such a workout video series would be more stick-with-able than the usual highly stylized ones.

Do you want me to list out what my rotation is? 90% of it can be tweaked to do @ home with free weights, $10 exercise bands an inexpensive bench etc. I kind of designed it with my trainer's expertise based on work I personally really love doing. 😊 There are a few machines that work the back ( feels so good) & lower chest though--areas that I have never gotten to @ home. Also for squats it's good to not have to invest in all those heavy weights they have stocked @ the gym. Ideally this workout is done with a gym membership. I do cardio in nature or @ home because I hate cardio machines in general-- I don't 'connect' to anything with those. I'm not interested in torturing myself into a fit body. My goal is to connect to a place --state of mind etc--internally during exercise. 👍

If you have time, that would be A+++. This week I'm putting together a routine of exercises for correcting rounded shoulders, from the ATHLEAN-X youtube channel, as well as what I've been doing for rotator cuff issues. Happy for any further exercises. Have bands, and easy access to a 'fitness room' with a simple bench and a pulley machine. (No squatting rack, bar, or plates.) --- Your cardio dance is BRILLIANT; I also used to love dancing for hours, no alcohol because hydration, got craziest on lots of water. That could work for me; all I've been doing for cardio is the recumbent stationery bike, which cancels out all the work I've been doing to lengthen hip flexors and psoas. Just need to find music...and lower the shades!

Okay- just give me a day or so and I will type it up. I really think finding stuff that makes you feel good/ feel empowered is key--and that is *very* personal. I hate running but can totally understand the concept of the runner's high. So I think everyone needs to find their own personal 'runner's high' and ditch the crap that bores them. 😊 Maybe there are some exercises in my list that 'take you there!'

T8U9-- try doing push-ups every day --they permanently changed my shoulder shape. And I only did modified push-ups on my knees. But I did them consistently for almost 2 years. Still, I could see a change early on and my shoulders just kept getting more broad and straight. Now, just getting back into that for a couple months-- the definition is coming back.

Blue : We are thinking alike with "connect to a place - state of mind". I started doing Chi Walking this week - I made it up. I start by walking and being midful of my pace and breath. Then I add wrist weights and movement timed to my walking. So my lifts, and pull ups, and circles, arm extensions are all part of my body movement - slow, easy and in harmony. When the pain starts after so many reps , I welcome it (not severely ) but I see it as part of the harmony - I don't pump and woohoo just let it happen. At the end of my walk-out( made that up too HA) I feel calm not all crazy.

Perks--that's so cool! Isn't it SO amazing to discover that we actually enjoy moving --we just need to find the way that clicks with who we really are. It sounds like you are really on to something with exercise that brings on calmness. Way to go. 👍😊
