Praise the Lord! I kept my calories under 2,000 yesterday! I couldn’t wait until Monday to weigh. List 2.4 pounds so far. Not going to check again until Monday, and then I’ll tell you what I’m doing. In addition to my “secret weapon,” I’m up to walking 4 miles a day now, and I’m drinking 4 or more bottles of water a day (a half gallon), and yesterday I practiced the piano for an hour.

Impressive Debbie! I am managing 1 mile, with a rest stop somewhere in the middle. I can't even fathom 4 miles!

Texasgranny6, when I started, I was only walking 1 mile. It was in 1/4th mile intervals and I would be sweating bullets after that. When I lost 75 pounds, I was able to do 6 miles in 1-mile stints without breaking a sweat. Now that I’ve gained back 25, I’m sweating again, and slowly increasing back up. It takes me 1/2 hour to walk a mile, so it’s a big time commitment, but it’s part of the plan for me to become physically fit. Best wishes! Do what you can do, as slowly as you need to, and you’ll slowly be able to increase.
