I'm back. The wiring for my phone lines/internet were so old, the house had to be rewired. It's funny how quickly we have become addicted to having that connection. 15 years ago, I didn't even have a cell phone, let alone internet. Now I feel frantic without either one of them. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (my American friends) and are all geared up for Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/winter holiday of choice! I'm quite rushed now, getting end-of-year projects done, but I'll try to be present. Hugs all!

Glad you are back. I had computer crisis almost all of November, so I know how you feel!

Glad to see you back! I agree about the connection thing. First cell in 2004 or 5 just because of Mom's health issues. I've been on the internet though often since 1996 prior to that I lived out in the country with no access even if I had a rare computer that would connect prior to that. Hope you had a good holiday and are looking forward to the warm spell for a few days.

HM, it's miserable. I live alone and you guys are my social lifeline during the week. :-) The Century link repair man was extremely rude. He treated me like I was an idiot. I may be old, but I'm not clueless. I dialed my son and handed the guy the phone. My son listened to him and told him he would take care of it himself. My son told me I was right. The guy was bull-Sing me. He hired a hometown electrician who wouldn't charge him an arm and a leg but it took a while to get it scheduled. I'm glad to be back. I expected to see a huge gain so was pleasantly surprised to see the scale this morning. WFN, I didn't get online at home until 2004 and didn't get Wifi until 2010. I did have a lovely holiday. Even the 5 straight days of rain were welcome since the fall has been so dry. I do prefer these warmer days, though. Monkey, my feral cat, had a pretty miserable time of it, having to slog through the rain to get fed. He IS using the kitty heating pad I put in the garage for him. Last year he was just still too wild. I'm off to bed early. I have many hours of weaving tomorrow and every day until the 12th . . . projects due that Saturday!

Hi Johanne - I'm so glad you were smart enough to call your son. Some folks are just rude and stupid when they think they can get away with it. And yes being without internet is awful - incredible how used we have become to having constant contact. Especially living alone as you do, you must have been lost! Glad to have you back. Do you live in the US? I'm Canada myself. I don't weave but I knit, knit, knit. It's my stress relief.

Hi, Is. I'm in Missouri. I also knit. My hands don't work as well as they did so I find weaving a bit easier.
