Smart move to reduce the calories. I believe the experts recommend only 1500/day for men for weight loss. The 2150 sounds like a maintenance level.

Excellent! I am very similar. 1700 calories daily limit and running or walking every day.

Agree with Craig, check out the RMR or get your RDI and reduce it by about 10% as your soft limit (if you pick it up here bear in mind, it is a touch on the high side compared to some calculators anyway so try a couple of different places and pick a nice average) that should give you a similar and realistic level to work with...

hey. just found a website that calculates my rmr. it says I should be on 1529 calories a day to loose weight. that sounds about right because the average women needs 2000 calories a day. but I couldn't go as low as 1500 calories. crown those who can!!
