Just stared a weight loss plan at work called Naturally Slim. The principles make sense, it's mostly mindful eating, but it's still hard to adjust to a new mindframe,
It also coincides with having one of the worst depressive downswings I've had in a long time, so I haven't had the energy to work out lately. It might make me feel better, but you try telling that to someone who feels like they've got nothing left to give. Meh.

Hi Lindieface. It's tough to start something new when you feel exhausted. Amen to that. I don't know what Naturally Slim has in store for you but I sure hope there is lots of fiber involved. Fiber feeds a healthy microbiome (gut bacteria) which makes all that lovely serotonin which makes us feel happy. I've also found that not eating anything after 8 pm, when insulin resistance is going up, helps to keep the weight from creeping up, too.

Anything new can be a challenge at first. I'm sure you will get acclimated to it in no time though. I know how it can be to have a mood slump derail your workouts. But in all honesty, I have often found that if I can manage to tough it out and get through it, I'm smiling by the end of it. All in all, if you really don't think you're up to it, don't beat yourself up. If you stress yourself out too much you really won't recover, so just remember to treat yourself kindly and get back to business when you're feeling better :)
