Oh dear , haven't eaten much and had a day nilbymouth, but maybe my body is settling down after surgery
Have to take it easy fir a couple of days.. no exercise bike, but I'll try to drive later ( have to check if u can do an emergency stop safely)
My back pain seems better ... yay.. back to see consultant in 2 weeks Off to see occ health this afternoon with regards to changes to my job but not very hopeful of any support

It will be water weight associated with healing (ask Jocko, Doobrie, etc). Don't panic about it, eat to your plan and rest. It will go soon enough. Great your back is feeling a bit better!

Yes, after my last surgery and three days on about 500 Kcals a day I had gained 6 lbs. It is all the fluids they pump into you. I thought they'd left half their instruments inside me!

LOL @Jocko! Did you hear a suspicious rattle when you walk? Poppy, the body's reaction to any "insult" is to retain fluid. As Phooks said, give it time. Healing is hard work!
