That's a nice bulking diet you have setup, I'd be surprised if you didn't gain weight. You eat about 300 calories per day more than I do..... And those carbs....wow!

From looking at your journal, you're consuming more calories than you're burning calories off. In order to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eat. Also keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat, so you might be gaining muscle as well.

Please..... Don't say that again.... To be clear "Muscle does NOT weigh more than Fat!"

Counting tells you how many you consume. Gaining weight tells you that what you are eating is still too many. Cut it by 10% for a week and see what happens. If that doesn't work, drop another 10%. The charts are only a guideline. Your body will have it's own numbers.

Weigh in no more often than weekly.

I used to bodybuild and my mindset was always at least one hour of weight training per day (different body parts etc) with one day off for active recovery. However, I seemed to always be managing pain in one form or another. So at age 55, Ive taken up kiteboarding and am intent on doing stuff that will help me get better on the board and in the water. The diet always fell into place...just eat healthy and if I needed to cut, then just count the calories. As for muscle weighing more...it's more dense, but working out creates lactic acid, which retains water. Once the water weight was gone, I used to be able to lose weight. Is there any way to change the 2000 calorie p/day default setting on this thing?

i hate exercise but exercise is not exercise if it is some thing you like doing....get my drift.

I love exercise and the endorphin release. It's the pain management that I'm done with.
