I have a lot of weight over all that I have to lose. I know I'll probably have to deal with loose skin. Are there natural ways to tighten loose skin during weight loss to avoid needing surgery in the future?

I have not found any. Friends who lost a bunch of weight said after a while it did tighten up some.

From my limited research, weightlifting or strength training seem to be the best ways to tighten skin. Also losing weight slowly gives your skin time to adjust. Massages can help. Collagen supplements are known for helping with skin hydration and elasticity. All the best to you on this journey!

it may tighten up a bit but the damage is done. I have a bunch of it in my stomach it is what it is. good luck with your goals

Good thing, you look very young. If you get it off now. It might bounce back nicely because you're young!!! Mine isn't so bad.

I have a friend who does body wraps and she says her clients who are loosing a lot of weight come in frequently for a wrap to help with the loose skin.

It depends on your genetics, some people have thick skin and no issues, those of us who have thin skin it doesnt bounce back, omega 3s are good for your skin

Interesting. Didn't realize genetics had anything to do with it. But I guess it's a good thing I take fish oil lol

Collagen is a powder that helps with skin tightening and other ways too

I found that if you have a slower weight reduction it helps your skin adjust better than a rapid weight loss.

If you start an exercise program while losing weight you skin will tighten as you lose, I lost 115 pounds when I was 50 and exercised and had no loose skin. Walked 2 to 3 miles a day and exercise bike and weights.

I’m using the green tea fat burner. It worked years ago for me with just a little bit of remaining on my lower abdomen (I could have done more obliques, etc). It’s great because of the dollar off coupon on the cap and my my wife now knows exactly what I’m buying. Stupid Covid, lockdowns and curfews.. I shouldn’t be in this position again! Switching to tea helps as well. I’m both, espresso and tea. I tend to over drink and it’s caught up.

I agree with Golfgirl60; I also lost over 50 lbs. in my 50s and with exercise I had no loose skin..

I think draignage is the key here upon luck on genetics. Massages with hands and brush can help by bringing the blood flow into the areas you are losing weight. Dry brushing will be great if your skin can tolerate it. Good luck! I think steady weight loss shouldn't be that much of a problem.
