Put back on some pounds but feeling determined to change that. Started metformin in January. (supposed to help with insulin resistance caused from the PCOS)
Just had a birthday so I consumed a ton of sugar so I'm probably retaining some water at the moment. I am going to cut sugar out for a couple weeks. first time completely cutting out sugar so any tips would be awesome. starting this morning with green tea instead of my usual iced coffee with sugar and cream.
269.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 49.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.6 lb a week

I’ve been gluten free for 8 years and it’s not by choice for me; I would talk to your physician about it and see what they say. What I’m doing now is only eating about 60-75% of my recommended daily calorie intake, I’ve increased my protein by eating things high in protein, I walk anywhere between 6-10 miles every day and doing portion control on special occasions and logging what I’m eating here. I’ve been on here now 2 months and in that time I’ve lost 33lbs by just tracking and doing the above mentioned.

Avoid processed foods.

It's difficult to take away all sugar. I eat mostly unprocessed foods and I know when I crave something sweet, especially chocolate I eat protein. It is supposed to stop the craving. It works most of the time. I also eat carrots when I crave sweets. They are naturally sweet and crunchy so they help with both issues. Other than that, it just takes discipline. Best of luck!🩷

the more soups i have the less i crave sugar, cuz they are filling and satisfying.. i have binge eating disorder- sugar cravings are hard to quell for me. having mixed nuts help. I add dark chocolate chips to them. substitutions is big. if i want ice cream i snack on mixed nuts first and then will have a smaller portion of ice cream, a tea cup instead of a big soup bowl. fruit is a good substitution also.

Cut back with added sugars and carbs like cookies and cake (sugar & flour), but keep natural sugars and carbs, like fruit. Avoid processed foods.

Thankyou everyone for your responses. I discovered yesterday that no sugar is almost impossible atleast without the meal plan already set up. But I have to do grocery shopping today so I'll pay more attention to the nutrition labels. I had the worst headache yesterday and usually eating something unhealthy makes it better but I found myself eating a handful of nuts instead and that seemed to help the headache. Id love to get back into walking. I think it may be a while before I'm walking that many miles though. Hula hooping can be a ton of fun especially if there's some music going.
