I don't want to Dr Phil you to death here🤣But I went back throughout some of your other post. They were a lot more positive and you were grateful for every ounce you lost. I even saw a post that I will have to use now. An ounce lost is better than a lb gained. Something in your words stood out to me. That a lot of people especially on here are always looking for or mentioning. Is being "unmotivated" or looking for motivation. I believe the only way to be able to be successful at this is making it apart of your life. Motivation is awesome and It definitely helps. But motivation runs out quickly. Then what? You have to build discipline. Discipline is what made me get out of bed today at 330 am to go work out. There was no motivation involved. Now you could say I'm motivated by improving my body and health in a sense. But that's not enough to keep most people going. When you decide enough is enough. That you will do any and everything to make this weight loss journey successful it will all click. But you have to get to that point of frustration. I was tired of being 311 lbs and being miserable. I was tired of seeing other people happy and healthy. I said why not me? You have to find your "why"? Why not you? why not restart tomorrow? Tell yourself I'm going to do this and nothing can stop me.

Herbert you can do this man! You just have to earn it a little each day! Sorry for the long post! But I get to rambling and wanted to be detailed.

Unmotivated almost always equal depressed for me. I find relaxing outdoors in nature helps me process whatever is bothering me. Riding my motorcycle gave me a sense of freedom like nothing else. I don't know what makes you feel alive, but whatever it is, do it. That's step #1 to getting your motivation back.

Thank you both for your uplifting words. I definitely just need to make up my mind and do this, as well as I need to dig deep and find out what’s really going on.. Good stuff guys. ♥️

We've all been there. Being here is a great first step. Next, grocery list. Then, toss all the high calorie food (rather than eat it( 🤣🤣🤣

it's been a yo-yo for me also, gained about 25 lbs post covid and can't seem to get rid of this weight. Ive been depressed lately carrying alot on my shoulders, and being overweight doesn't help😔 im at that age, where I feel like everyone close around me is either sick or shockingly passing away. I'm gonna fight for a better & healthy life, there's too much still to look forward to, and im hoping you fight as well❤️

That happened to me too and the doctor scared me into changing my ways. I have been a yo yo dieter my entire life and only walked for exercise. I finally found what worked for me and you will too. Keep trying!

Stick to a calorie deficit and lift 45 mins -1:30 hour and 30’mins -1 hour on the cardio bike(or what u have time for) or for example my bmi(body mass index ) says to maintain my weight I need 2,500 cals a day just cut that by 500 or 1k and even if you don’t exercise much as long as u don’t pass that number u won’t go up but down because no matter what ur body need that 2500 day to function drink water to bro lots cut out sodas if you wanna find your bmi look up bmi calculator on google and and just fill in the blanks nothing hard just your height weight and age

Again I agree with @Joe Not Exotic. I’ve said this to someone else, when you get sick and tired of “being sick and tired” of your weight roller coaster ride and lack of motivation you will do something about it. I’ve battled my way back from my lowest point 12 years ago when i was an alcoholic, I’ve been sober 12 years. Man it’s baby steps, if you can’t find motivation in yourself, think about your loved ones and friends, and us here motivate you. It’s the small victories that motivates me and probably most of the others here.
