Our first meeting for the fall bowling league was last night. On the way home I stopped at Sonic and had an ice cream cone in lieu of dinner. Dinner was a small sacrifice compared to the pleasure I got from eating that ice cream cone. I am keeping a tight rein on my calorie count this week and my carbs were between 50 and 60+. I still say that boredom has derailed many a diet plan. As long as you are busy and active the hunger pangs are diminished. How often during a round of golf, or a shopping spree, or working on a project do you think , "Boy am I Hungry"? It is when you are sitting in front of the TV set or have nothing to do, that this occurs to you. I know many of us are not able to be as active as they want to be. These folks should grab a really good book to read or work a crossword puzzle. Computer games? Anything to take your mind off the desire to eat. A lot of times when I am searching around for a snack I come to this web site and see how everyone else is doing and reading the posts. It helps keep me focused on what I need to do.
