Try zucchini noodles and spaghetti squash. They’re great pasta substitutes

Sub cauliflower in for pasta as well.

Try Barillo high protien pasta, it is low carb and high protein (made from chickpeas). For the first time in nearly 2 decades I can eat pasta! It is quite good.

I second the idea of trying the legume pastas. They do taste different but it’s better than having to forgo pasta altogether. My husband’s A1C went from 9 to 6.9 (so far, after 6 months) by trying substitutions like this & also making sure to eat protein with the carbs (apple with cheese stick or peanut butter, etc.). we eat oatmeal with nuts and fruit & also barley instead of other starches. Rice and noodles make his numbers go up too much.

Ooo I love pasta with a burning passion! And I'm type 2. If there was leftover pasta in my house I couldn't sleep until I ate it all. I personally don't care for pasta substitutes myself but I made a rule that really helped me. I only eat pasta and pizza occasionally now and only when I'm out to dinner with family and friends (aka witnesses😄). NO TO GO, DELIVERY, or DOGGIE BAGS. Perhaps it may help you transition to substitute s.❣️
