'Praise God who has many names! But the devil has many more!' - Dave Matthews Band, Eh Hee

I talked to my doc yesterday. He ordered my meds again, and we talked about my diet. Told him everything that I am trying to do exercise-wise. I was honest with him. I hate exercise. We'll see how I do on the bike next week on Monday. He is ecstatic about my A1 though! Down from 7, which was the target at the appt before that. I broke that. 6.5 on the A1c test.

He talked to be about the importance of exercise, even if it's a walk around the block.

I told him that we were selling the recumbent bike, but that may change based on whether I want to be a diabetic for the rest of my life. I know the diabetes can be put in hibernation, if I lose enough weight. Right now it's 118 kg. Which is a possible discrepancy. I should say I am right. Oh well. Gotta keep working. It's very cool.

The weather is getting cold. I hid under my blankets. I guess it's fall. I dislike the fall and winter seasons. They are too cold, especially when I like 70-80 degree weather.

But, I know what to do as far as weight loss. My doc is hoping that he sees even more good numbers. My brain is saying no. It's not going to do this again.

Doc asked whether I want to be a diabetic for the rest of my life. Whether I want to take insulin for the rest of my life, and I told him no. He wants me to keep the bike.

I told him I have access to an elliptical, and the bike, and he said to use them as much as I can. I am still possibly selling the bike, for a new upright bike. I do better on the upright. Either that or go to the multipurpose center, and ride the bik3e for 10 min, and then go home.

I want an upright bike. because that's the journey to losing. I did so well at working out on the upright. I lost 20 pounds on the bike alone.

We'll see!
256.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 96.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

May I suggest, read The Diabetes Code by Dr. Jason Fung. And I beg your pardon if you are already well informed about the carbohydrate/insulin/diabetes connection.

I am going to the library to get it. I think it will help. My doc wanted me to think about it. I started at 200 or so. My A1c was 10 I think. It was pretty bad. Either way, I will ready the book, and The Obesity Code. How to lose weight slowly. He is not one of those crackpots. I've seen some of his videos. He suggests Intermittent Fasting in his Obesity Code book. I will start reading later today after going to the library.

I got them. I really wanted the cancer book. But I want to be well versed in intermittent fasting. I want the cancer one, because includes insight into the leukemia, I possibly would have dodged a bullet there. I think intermittent fasting is an interesting concept.

I've put it to sleep before... I ended with a 29 inch waist, and was 145. Gotta do it step by step!
