Doing great...wonderful. Spend a little time making that little recipe file with the 'special' section for "killer recipes". Those are the mouth watering, filling, easy to toss together recipes that have little adverse side effects (loaded with excess and useless calories.) It's not a rush job, just something you do when you run into that fabulous dish that fits the bill. Mom's took fifty years to accumulate and I recall some of those great dishes as I peruse through that old file box. A lot of them were vegetable based dishes from earlier times when meat was scarce and seldom served. I still recall coming home from school to ask "Where are we eating tonight, Mom?" She was going through her formative years as a master cook and had a huge cookbook that was an International Menus cookbook. She would work on a culture's food preparation style till she got it perfect and then move on to another country. It was great and I picked up a lot of my skills from helping and watching her. Yep, the kids want to help and will do so willingly if its fun and they're not held to an unreasonable standard.

thanks guys! I just want to get to 172! it seems like I am almost 1/2 way to my goal weight! but I have done the easy 1/2 so far!

Congrats on how much you have lost. It's sometimes hard to fit exercise, planning and prep cooking into everything else. I try to do the prep on sunday. It doesn't always fit. I live alone so my time off work isn 't controlled by family needs. I'm finding since i started working out again it has really changed my weekdays. I've chosen to make exercise a huge priority and my whole body feels better. I really missed it when i couldn't do it fo a couple of weeks.

You're heading in the right direction Tulipgirl6. It's lovely & inspiring to see you on here everyday. Your days are full and not always "fun" but you keep comin' back and that's so inspiring. Thank you. And... sometimes feeling better and losing weight help each other so I certainly understand how one can focus on one but mean both. Take care of you, and keep it up!

Nice to meet you also Tulip as I wave from Montana and I understand what you mean by the magic pill and although that would be so nice it would not make us fluffy people as special as we all if all that we had to do is to talk a pill to get to where we wanted to. Have a great day and stay strong.
