Oof. I went crazy with the sweets and treats yesterday. Don't feel too bad today though, surprisingly. Mr C made his annual chili and pumpkin pies. Took some to mom and our niece & her husband. Also picked up some cookies at Savages for the neighbor kids. The other treats at the bakery beckoned, so we ended up eating cream cheese meltaway muffins and chocolate-dipped lace cookies. So good. Mom lit up like a 2 yr old at Christmas when we gave her one of the cookies and muffins. Went to our former neighbor's house to watch the Halloween hordes. There were hundreds of families trick-or-treating. We stayed warm by their patio fire and had some of her homemade chicken soup. Lots of fun seeing her sweet family. I'm taking mom grocery shopping today and then we'll have bento box for lunch at Samurai. I need to buckle down with work after I get back this afternoon.
