Hello Fat Secret Family. First of all, I am thankful for this forum. I decided that my road back to the real me in weight loss was going to take some time. I had
lost weight before. Only to gain it back thinking my metabolism had returned. I
was unable to maintain it for any length of time. Going back to my old habits.

My level of activity went way down. I changed jobs and I regained all the weight. Sit down jobs are the worse type of jobs for one's health. And the older you
get your metabolism gets slower. Sit down jobs also cause your muscles to stiffen
and ache. Back issues because of your fat belly. Just being real.

So I started researching until I found something that would work for me. I increased my activity got a Fitbit. Then I found eat stop eat. Now I am using the Keto diet. I had to find something that I could live with. Well, Keto with Eat Stop Eat which is intermittent fasting works for me. I just might reach my goal of under 300lbs by Thanksgiving. So Blessed. It is a marathon, not a sprint.

I also appreciate all the positive encouragement. I think you all are fantastic people. I encourage all of you to never give up. I believe in you.
311.0 lb Lost so far: 48.0 lb.    Still to go: 121.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Yes it does 😊 I’m a little stuck right now but it happens. Hopefully not for long though

I know you can achieve your goal!!! Think positive. I never thought I could lose weight....it was slow, but went from 285 down to 222 in one year....all without exercise as I had a bad right hip. It just got replaced so gradually exercising and still sticking to my low carb/keto/low calorie diet. Because I will hopefully be released by my doctor the first of December, I truly hope to lose faster as then I'll be able to exercise!!!!

your journal entry hits home for me...years ago I went from 273 to 205 and I started eating bad foods but didn't seem to gain so I stopped tracking and thought the exact same thing...that my metabolism had returned and maybe that was just what maintenance was like lol...but slowly but surely I gained back all the way to 267. it was so depressing for me to feel as though I was starting back at square one...but I took it one day at a time and before I knew it I have made it further than ever before...but this time with a lot more wisdom! good luck and just take it one day at a time...you did it before...you can do it again! you got this <3

Congrats on your new job...and maybe this is an opportunity to insert new habits in your life? Good that you are here on FS. Jopenn, bad hip over here too. Stomping at the bit to exercise and it is frustrating when in pain. Forced sedentary life when you didn't have it before!
