amanda123's Journal, 04 June 2010

I keep telling myself that my weight loss is going to slow down, but it isnt. I am totally thrilled with the scales today. I am down to 256. I CANT WAIT to be below 250. I don't know why but that is a big milestone for me. I guess it is so important to me because when I am below 250 I feel like I am closer to 200 than 300 - LOL! OOOOHHHH! I was soooo excited yesterday because I found low carb tortilla shells at Save A Lot again!!! I bought them there once but when I went back there weren't any and the clerk said they weren't ordering them anymore so I was bummed. I guess they changed their mind or the clerk didn't know what he was talking about.

A couple of challenges coming up.

Tomorrow - taking kids to Chuck E Cheese - Pizza - I don't even think I will be tempted if I eat before I go.

Monday - Katelyn's 5th Birthday - Cake & Ice Cream - The cake will be tempting because I love that cake with the whipped cream icing but I know I won't eat it. I may have some carb watchers ice cream as a little treat.

Summer School - Since I am taking some hard classes this summer to try and finish up my degree I will probably have some extra stress..... for me stress used to equal eating. I will just have to find another outlet for the stress other than stuffing my face.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Wow, looks like you really are losing quite quickly. You'll be in the 250s before you know it. Not sure if you like seeds or not, but I find them quite comforting to snack on when I am busy with my school work. And as long as you are in the nut/seed rung of OWL they are acceptable. Low in carbs and good for uping the calories.

You know I have done nuts and peanut butter since the beginning. It doesnt seem to affect me much on my weight loss but then again I only eat a small handfull of nuts or one tablespoon of peanut butter every now and then - 3 days a week maybe. Oh and I got my calories up to over 1300 again yesterday. That heavy whipping cream in my coffee helps, it has alot of calores.

You are doing great!!! Congrats!!! Where do you find your ice cream, My daughter's party is coming up this month and I don't want to be tempted either but I can't find ice cream anywhere

We have Braums here. It is a fast food restaurant but they also own their own dairys and have a small grocery store in the restaurant. They are most known for their ice cream though. They have great ice cream. In the Carb Watchers line they have vanilla, chocolate, chocolate almond, chocolate pecan, and butter pecan. They are really good.

I can't find Breyer's. I live down South and they don't have it in the low carb. I even have looked for while I'm back home in PA/NJ and I can't find it

Brooke, not sure where in the south you are located but I am in the Florida panhandle and we have Breyer's here. Have you tried Wal-Mart?

I'm in Alabama, we have Breyer's I just can't find the low carb kind.

Hmmm, not too sure but I do know that Winn-Dixie and Wal-Marts here (all stores) do carry the Breyer's low carb ice cream bars. They are hidden near the drumsticks and Klondike bars.

Amanda you are doing such a great job and the results show it, I know you will go through the coming challenges with out a problem. You want to keep the scale going down so you will do what is necessary to do that. Have a great weekend. :)

Thanks Stef, I am really shocked with how fast it is coming off too. I don't think it came off this quickly last time. I am more active now and I'm not on birth control, maybe that is why. I know younger people loose faster and men lose faster too. My husband started Monday and he is already down about 5 pounds and he is eating about 35 carbs a day. I hate that he will reach his goal before me but that's life - I had 120 lbs to lose and he only has 40 plus he works construction so he burns alot more fat than I do.
