Hello, I am new to Fat secret. I am learning features on the fly as quickly as possible. Thus far I like how it helps track your food intake so that you can analyze and explore how to make adjustments to help achieve goals. I just wanted to let you know, don't get discouraged or beat yourself up, we have all been there !!! Easy to get distracting by life's moments, but remember this is for you.... Without offending, I noticed you like chicken sandwich from BK----I LOVE THEM TOO...but I learned a small tip which helps save some calories, while still being able to eat what I like. (Try removing the mayonaise they place on the sandwich, and 1 layer (bun) of the bread....you can then wrap lettuce (which also comes on the sandwich) around the chicken and fold the remaining half of bread around the chicken still comprising a sandwich with a smaller amount of calories coming from the bread. Or you can eliminate bread entirely and eat the chicken without mayo (although it is good), and wrap the lettuce around the chicken. I also noticed your a bagel person---Again, I am as well. Love plain bagels, bagels with everything, and more. Can't seem to get enough cream cheese either. But I have found a lot of bagels (obviously being bread) use plenty of sugars and are comprised of many carbs. I, personally, have made an effort to try half a bagle from time to time, with light cream cheese, or peanut butter. It will help with cravings, make you feel fuller, but will also save calories from the sugar side of things. Sugars are what make us desire to eat more because it is not as filling as other alternatives. I have even substituted celery and carrots with cream cheese as opposed to eating bagels. I used to eat 2 a day, so I know how addicting and detrimental they can be for healthy eating. I know it probably sounds like a bunch of stupid ideas, but little steps make for easier means to achieving your goals. Not Preaching, I know, because I am learning eating tricks on a daily basis. I wish you well on your goals, and look forward to seeing your success. I wish you a better day ! ;)

no offense taken Wright, but I do think that you may have parts of someone else's journal confused with mine as I rarely eat bagels., no big deal though, and as far as BK, 2 days ago was the first time I had been there in months also., again, no big deal. But I also want to Welcome you to FS, we are a good group of people who are here to make changes in themselves and support others as well, many of us have a great intelligence in what we are trying to do because we've been trying for so long, others are still learning, but no matter who you are, you're in a good place.

I love you said, "Can't cry over milk as it's spilling, just be careful the next time you pour"!

It happens, and every once in while going over isn't going to undo everything. Balance it out through out the week and you'll be fine (:

I've had that happen many times also, but you're right you can't do anything about it when it's already done. I know if I don't plan my meals I'm bound to do poorly, but even with planning sometimes life just happens and someone shoves a piece of birthday cake in my face and I just can't resist. You're so close to your goal, just keep pushing through.

Wright -- you might want to deal with yourself before you come in here digging through diet calendars, calling people out and making unsolicited recommendations.

Sorry for anyone being offended, Truly not my intent. I am new to the FS app, only 4 days in now. So I may have inadvertently mixed things up. Believe me when I say, I am not one of those persons known to "troll" people....I am here to learn from persons on how best to become healthy once again. I attempted to read as many pieces of materials as possible over the past 3 days to learn as rapidly as I can on the fly. I am working on myself, but am one to share ideas or knowledge I've obtained from time to time from Medical persons teaching and guiding me presently. Look forward to learning more and meeting more persons. Good Luck and have a great day everyone.
