after eating animal protein, my stomach feels heavy and I don't like that feeling. so I mostly eat carbs, but I've completely excluded wheat and everything that is made out of it (breads, pasta), I gain weight right away as soon as I start eating wheat products.
It looks like my body is responding well to those healthy carbs, so we will see. I'm still in the process of learning how my body responds and reacts to certain food :)

Scrumptious! I am having lentils and whole grains for dinner tonight. Thinking about adding some Ethiopian spices to it. Yours looks amazing!

Yes, after a while, the smaller portions will make your stomach organ react, meaning contract in size, like a natural stomach stapling. The bonus is, after you get to your weight goal, with a newly resized/shrunken stomach organ, just listen to it when it says it is full and it will help to keep the weight off. :) It has worked for me, kept the weight off for 2+ years now, just listening to when my stomach says, "NO MORE." It is a wonderful thing.

Hey there - I asked about protein a couple days ago and hope it wasn't as if I was being critical - NOT meant that way at all - I was curious because I would eat more that way of I could get the protein I need.

I thought it was so amazing that after I started eating smaller (right sized) portions and got in that habit - big plates of food or big serving sizes seem unreal. Even now some days it is tough to consume the volume that makes my RDI and macros.
