62 pounds is significant. Personally I think you should buy at least one outfit that fits you as you are right now. Something you feel really good in to wear out. There is something about wearing the right size that works with your psyche. WalMart or the thrift stores offer low prices. Regardless, nice achievement there.

Thank you for your input Sarah1950. Maybe something that fits is just what I need. Some days I'm just still so discouraged because of how much further I know I need to go. Not sure how to change my mindset...

Just realized my numbers are a little off, but close enough. (That's how I got into weight trouble in the first place... not paying attention to my numbers!!)

Before you decide and say it may not be acheivable think about how far you've come!Take PRIDE in how far you have come and have Faith in how far you can go. Absolutely Awesome what you have done:))))

1. Yes yes yes to one outfit that fits you really well now. 2. LOL at prescribed weights; you know your body. 3. what about the option of intentionally maintaining this weight for a bit? For metabolism, maintenance skills acquisition, social adaptation, skin recovery, and so on.

All valid points. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts. I have wondered about the skin recovery part. I wonder if that's why I'm not looking like I did at this weight in the past. Will my skin contract on its own or what do I need to do to help it?

If skin is hanging, gravity is working against renewal. In that case, compression undershirt (or other support garment) can help. My partner used these, and now has absolutely no belly overhang. (Dropped from 175-180 kilos to maybe 105 now?) I should use the "men's," because sleeves, to address my back/underarm looseness. They also used (cheap generic drugstore version) moisturizer containing vitamin E , maybe 3x/week.
Some people's skin retracts without any special effort.

I agree with Sarah! Get rid of the old and ill fitting clothes so you are NOT tempted to let yourself fit into them again!🙋🏻

Thank you everyone. Will look into some bodysuits or other compression items. Been doing some research and sounds like collagen and fish oil may help also. Will let everyone know.

One small step at a time.. Set little goals one after the other and you will be surprised at how far you can go... I started my journey when I was 315LBs, got to 292LBs when I joined FS in 20 Sept, 2011, got to 185.8 on the 23 Sept, 2012, but then I stopped logging and keeping track plus lots of hospital stays for diff medical reasons and got back to 274LBs and now I'm back to logging and keeping track here and today 12 Sept 2017 I'm at 238.8LBs. Little goals, get to one, make another... Now I'm looking at the 220's.. here I come.. little goals.. You CAN do this!
