Ran 6 miles yesterday at the track. Took short walk breaks in between miles 4, 5, & 6 in order to keep going. I'm going to keep doing the walk breaks because I think it's better to get in the extra miles with walk breaks, than jump in the car & go home. After 3 miles that's exactly what I'd rather do.
Going to run again today. Really glad the muscle soreness is getting better. My goal is to start running twice a day. I was surprised I lost weight over night. Even though I'm not trying to lose, I still get excited to see the numbers go down. I guess that is cultural conditioning. The women I met when I was in Egypt were trying to gain weight because being too thin is considered unfavorable for marriage. Imagine trying to stuff in that last painful bite of ice cream in order to land a husband. The things we do for love...
