I started my diet 4 days ago at 191 lbs. I have never been on a diet before, have never needed to. In the past few years I have been slowly gaining weight and this year it came on fast. Stress eating from a family event, then being laid up for a few weeks after an Appendectomy, then being completely laid up for a few months after a major car accident all contributed to this. I need a change! At 5'4" I would like to weigh 145 and feel strong and healthy.

So far I have been 4 days and have stayed at about 1300-1500 calories. I am finding the app on my phone to be super easy and very helpful at keeping me on track and teaching me to make better choices in food. I am learning as I go, I hope to increase my protein and lower my carbs but it will come in time.

Exercise will be slow and steady as I am still recovering from my injuries but I am trying to do as much as I can.
