watermelon does wonders in heatwave, and it's much healthier than ice cream. maybe accept that for now you may not be losing any weight. Focus on not putting any on! I live in Quebec, we have two seasons, winter and july.

Always remember that your beautiful lies within your uniqueness lady! There's no one else out there like you (technically speaking your 1:7Billion). Show the rest of us the best of yourself. If you cannot workout in the heat, I dislike too much heat too, I workout in my house :). Get rid of any food that does not agree with your new diet which will get you to your goal weight. Also always remember, sticking to lean meat-vegetables-fruit is a safe bet. Remember to work fish into the lean meat category sometimes.

we have the same heat in Oklahoma. I take advantage of the early morning hours. By 10 it is too humid to even be outside. By 9pm I can go back out. I think I am becoming a vampire!

I don't mind the heat I live in central valley it gets over 110 there during summer months. I work outside in the telecommunications industry and love it. I wear long sleeves and just stay hydrated all the time. My wife can't deal with it as she is originally from SoCal. I'm usually outside on days off mowing the lawn or doing something. I workout n in my garage even in the summer. I guess I'm used to the heat.
Like others have said workout in doors or go to the mall and walk around as long as your expenditure of calories is less than your intake you will loose weight. Takes 3500 calorie deficit to loose one pound.
Keep calm n cool and journey on... ha ha

Do HIIT instead of slow cardio. 30 sec Intense, 90 sec rest. 10 reps is a 20 minute workout. You can do anything from sprinting to jumping jacks or any kind of body weight exercise as long as you keep the intensity up during the exercise part. Don't forget to keep moving during your rest, even if it's just walking around in circles.

I'm amazed at the overwhelming amount of support and tips for staying healthy in this heat. gilrocriv, I think I am just like your wife. I can't stand this!
I really like all these tips. I still work out with the AC blasting, 3-5 times a week. I stay hydrated (8-9 cups OF h2o a day). I try to eat healthy, at least for maintenance right now -- since I am crazy stressed and low on time on account of school / finals.
It's the ice cream.
I'm eating A LOT of ice cream.
I like the sugar free Popsicle. That's a great idea. I also really like the idea of making your own Popsicle, kaywoodworth! Actually, I have a some plastic Popsicle makers that I have yet to use. Maybe it's time.
Thanks, everyone! And yes, all of these tips work. I've basically incorporated all of these at some point in my weight loss journey, except two: I refuse to pay for a gym again since working out at home really works for me; and I won't eat fish. I find all sea food disturbing for some strange reason. Lol

You are doing a great job. Just tweak the eating a little and stay on course.

Try exercising outdoors very early in the morning when its still cool and again later in the evening. I'm in California too and I had to do it this way. Thank goodness the worst of the heat wave is over now.
