I have a hole small chicken breast and rices cauliflower. I like to spread it out in my plate and make it look like more to help me feel like I'm eating a huge meal! For dessert I'm having watermelon! I eat this one a week I love this! ❤️

Well actually you ARE eating a big meal. Suggestion: -- if you're taking the trouble to cut carbs/sugar by eating riced cauliflower, then don't blow it with dessert. Instead of watermelon, go with cantaloupe or berries, which are lower glycemic. Good job on the entre!

Thanks for the suggestion, this is a smaller meal then I usually do and I'm doing watermelon as a treat instead of ice cream or cake. Not cutting sugar or carbs I'm counting calories. I'm about to have all this for dinner due to the shakes I drink through out the day. Either way it was delicious and much better then the fast food alternatives I passed on my way home. So hard sometimes to not eat for convince.

This is all hard. I count calories, but I also eat low glycemic, and it has really made a huge difference for me over counting calories alone. When I started my FBS was 125, which is not terrible, but it's a warning sign. Now, my FBS is around 70, and I've lost nearly 80 pounds. What's right for me may not be right for you or anyone else, but I have to say that I've been dieting for years doing calorie counting only, and I have now discovered that I can eat a higher calorie count if I eat a lower carb and sugar count.

Watermelon has other benefits though. And is very few calories in a 1/2 cup serving because of the water. It is a very high potassium food. So as always, moderation and variety can make a difference. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Watermelon is perfectly fine.

1 cup of water melon only has 11.48g of carbs which is a little low in comparison with a banana which has 26.95g so watermelon will be much fine

10 g of healthy sugar is in that one cup of watermelon while there 14 gram of sugar in a banana
