Unexpected results: This is for us Post Menopausal Women guys, read at your own risk:

I have been doing 20:4 IF since the middle of April, in that time I have noticed an increase in sex drive and a decrease in the hated "vaginal dryness". I did a 96 hour fast and while the weight loss was not as much as I expected, it was nevertheless very good. This morning I started my menstrual cycle, my first one since January. I had noticed some bloating and pressure in that area but I had put it off to food returning to my digestive tract. Apparently all of the comments I have been getting from my customers about me looking much younger is true and possibly the re-balancing of my hormones is postponing my final stages of menopause. The symptoms of menopause had drastically reduced the first week I returned to strict low carb high fat. Now I'm not excited about the resurgence of that pesky month cycle, I am however tickled pink that I am getting my mojo back. If anyone has had any similar experiences or has more endocrine system info that can help explain this phenomenon, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

IMHO, menopause is wonderful and gives freedom. Doing healthy things makes it easier on the body. I've noticed nothing has changed negatively and I feel healthy and happy. Go into menopause but don't fear, fear influences your expectations and the positive experience menopause can be. In looking at life, find the fears you have and quell them with knowledge and learning. Fear is the one thing that holds people back and in bondage and left sitting still.

The menstrual cycle. Decades ago, my sister told me to view it as if you are a rosebud and blooming into a beautiful rose in full bloom. Beautiful. Nature. Somehow it gave me a positive impact on the cycle and I viewed it differently from that moment on. Growth, of all kinds, has its own kind of pains. Ever hear of students saying their head hurts from studying hard? Thinking is hard work.

LOLOL, I would view it like that if I had a normal reproductive system, unfortunately I have endometriosis which is uterine tissue growing wild in my abdomen it did an octopus imitation around my colon and caused me to have a colostomy...so...when I have a cycle I have all kinds of weird stuff going on inside of me and most of it is quite painful....but on the plus side...prior to the start of shark week....hubby was pleased...many times :)

I'm glad I got back here to read your update! I wouldn't have known of the endo. My DIL has it, so I know it is an awful issue to deal with. I get it now. DIL said something similar, but she said a living jellyfish inside her tum. The stinging and burning cramps she has at TOM. She has a few years to go before menopause. You look very young, but I don't know what you looked like before. You keep going, you're doing an amazing job in recreating good health for your body, and life. It IS worth all you do. ROFL at your comment of your pleased hubby! A pleased hubby is the best kind to have. Keep him that way!

I try Izel, 32 years of marriage and I am his 4th wife, so I think I must be doing a good job or I would have been replaced years ago by #5! I hate to hear your DIL suffers with this stuff it's nasty mean, I was not diagnosed with it until after it had destroyed 4 inches of my colon and required me to have emergency surgery to stay alive. I hope they keep tabs on it and it does not cause any further complications in her health. I was looking forward to menopause in order to get rid of the painful symptoms, but I did not realize that menopause would cause so many changes in my sex drive, lubrication and well...in my ability to orgasm...TMI I know but there were several months where that point could not be reached and it was incredibly frustrating for me and a little uncomfortable with the dryness too.
