Good Morning!

No numb hands overnight nor this morning. Not sure if it is gluten/carb related or my hands have simply begun to heal from the wood stacking frenzy of last week. We have another cord to stack tonight so tomorrow may be interesting.

Well this silly sausage was quite surprised that she made it an ENTIRE day with absolutely no snacking. Amazing. I was also surprised by my calorie count, which was still well with FS's RDI for me and left me with a hefty caloric deficit for the day.

Today I started with a teaspoon of coconut oil in my morning coffee. Even hubby joined me ... and he is no fan of coconut. No flavor change at all. We'll build up slowy to more oil ... in time. Today also began with YUM ... chorizo and eggs!!! All we needed was an ocean view and we could have been in Mexico!! I skipped the corn tortillas though I did make a few for hubby to go with his eggs.

Tonight's menu will be beef and broccoli stir-fry. I'm already looking forward to dinner!!

I have a busy day ahead. Four visits if no one cancels. I'm always secretly hoping that someone will cancel. LOL!! Just a couple more days and I get girlfriend time. Very much looking forward to seeing her. It is never frequent enough, nor long enough!!

Still working on my goals ... and my frame of mind. I like myself!! I love my body!!! I am kind to myself. I take care of myself. I sleep well. Our wood shed is full. I am an expert in my field. People pay me for my expertise. I am organized and efficient. I plan well and follow through. I earn $100,000 a year. I am responsible. I am determined. I am patient. I handle strong emotion and conflict, calmly. I believe in myself and my abilities. I have money saved for a vacation in Mexico in Feb. 2012. I manage our finances well. I face minor setbacks with optimism for the future. I am persistent.

And ... I am grateful.

Grateful for a decent night of sleep (despite waking several times I was able to quickly fall back asleep).

Grateful for ending the day yesterday on a much more positive note than I began it on.

Grateful for the opportunties that surround me.

Grateful for hints of a blue sky this morning.

Grateful for being able to catch a glimpse of my own beauty (I hope that doesn't sound conceited) and feel good about myself.

I may be repeating myself but I did decide to continue with Pilates while I attempt to "reset my leptin sensitivity." While I guess technically it is "exercise" it certainly isn't aerobic exercise or weight lifting. It makes me feel better, stronger, more coordinated. I finally discovered I can break the routine into 2 sections ... one is just 20 minutes in length, the other 30 minutes. I can alternate those sections every other day ... with an occasional 'rest' day. I am giving my elliptical a long deserved rest ... until ??? Until I think I'm ready I guess. It's all an experiment so I can't really commit to a date at this juncture.

My hubby still has his ice-cream and hot fudge. His bread, noodles, and rice. Me? Oh no ... none of that for now!!! At least we can eat the same basic meals ... he'll just add the extras and I'll pass. He's thrilled with the meat!! LOL!!!

I suppose I better bid you farewell for now. Hugs to all ... be good to yourselves ... and kindly support each other. I have been most fortunate that my support here has almost always been kind. I hear that isn't always the case in the forums ... but I rarely go there. Take care!!

I approve! Do you use a Pilates dvd? I think Pilates is so good for you! DId a year with a teacher when I first started on this journey 3 yrs ago and it changed the way I view my body. I'd love to make it part of my life again but cant afford lessons.

Thanks Dens!! I added a link to the DVD I use. I really like the DVD. It is a very gentle workout ... but I've seen great results from it in the past. When I stick with it I find it does change how I walk, how I see myself, how I move, well ... I just really like it. Check it out ... much cheaper than lessons (which I too would love to do but not in the budget, time wise or money wise!!!)

I started Zumba, but would like to give pilates a try. I weigh 198.5 and am working very hard to be as positive as can be. You are such a positive person, I just love it!! I'm gonna follow your link and maybe alternate my workouts, or do both. Zumba to start and pilates to warm down. I would not be comfortable in classes, beside, I can't drive(seizures). I prefer my privacy, and at home workouts. I can laugh at myself when I mess up the moves. Stay positive and I will too! :-)

I love Zumba and have been doing it for almost 6 years. I started at 205lb on August 18. And today (2 months later) I'm at 193. I am a fairly confident person and don't mind working out in groups because I'm social. I love Zumba! If you have a Wii you can do Zumba for Wii (which is fairly close to the classes) or you can do Just Dance (I have Just Dance 2 but Just Dance 3 just came out) which is choreography and dancing that is fun like a party. You can do it!

I live by the motto (from Nicole on Biggest Loser a few seasons ago) The difference between new (thinner) you and old (fatter) you is that new you doesn't make excuses.
