I do hope you aren’t eating that raw. They can be tasty sautéed though. 😉

It's rather...stately? Still green anyway, and that counts for something! 🤗 Get a jade plant, I've had one for about 3 years now. It's a trooper! 😁😉

Windy, I have a jade plant that was given to me as a cutting in the 70s; an elderly lady had given her a massive jade plant that was at that time 100 years old. My cutting went through he__ and high water with me, always hung in after injuries, even survived two horrid grubs that attacked the roots when it was outside for the summer. I was about to give up on it but I accidentally knocked it'd pot over and discovered it was dying because of getting roots gobbled. Today thus 'cutting' is a bushy, healthy plant. So for me. a jade plant is ideal for hesitant houseplant gardeners. I killed every African violet that had the misfortune of sharing my home.

Missed part of the history in that my cutting was from my best friend who acquired it as a 100- y/o old gift.

Gopher, 100 yr old jade?? WOW. I never thought about it before, how old a plant could get to be, but I am stunned! That is phenomenal and quite something that your friend had the record of it's history. I am sooo motivated now to keep this one going to leave to my daughter! Thank you so much for sharing that. xo :)

Windy, just remember that the jade plant can go long periods without much moisture.

That's one thing I'm good at doing, Gopher. Learned the hard way there! I was given a Christmas cactus this Christmas and so far so good as well! 😁
