A splurge night @ Outback Steakhouse after Cirque Du Soleil ECHO
Water diet for this entire week.

Diet Calendar Entry for 26 February 2024:
523 kcal Fat: 22.58g | Prot: 22.42g | Carb: 66.30g.   Breakfast: Ginger (Ground), Lemon, Cinnamon, Water (16.9 oz). Lunch: Lemon,  Natural Walnuts,  Natural Almonds, Herbal Tea,  Water (16.9 oz). Dinner: Sliced Hot Jalapeño & Habanero Jack Cheese, Whole Wheat Bread, Vita Coco 100% Pure Coconut Water (11.1 oz), Water (16.9 oz), Lemon. Snacks/Other: Daisy Low Fat 2% Small Curd Cottage Cheese. more...

Looks like a pretty low carb meal. Lots of protein. We need protein to burn fat. Starving ourselves is not good either. The body goes into panic mode and stops burning fat. Don't beat yourself up.

This is a normal meal for me. High protein is filling! Love it! What is your water diet?

Kadenammon, that's not a helpful or constructive comment. First of all she's already stated that this was a splurge situation that was unusual for her. The way you presented your opinions could be very hurtful to a person who is trying their best to lose weight and have special occasions in their life. Life has special occasions and to avoid disordered eating we have to recognize that some days we are not going to eat perfectly and that's Okay. To fail to recognize that some days are not perfect is going to set us up for failure please don't buy into that kind of culture and certainly it's not helpful when you push other people in that direction. I'm sure that you didn't mean to be harmful, but it would be a lot more helpful if you would say something like "you could increase water intake to reduce water retention or up veggies to decrease fat ingested in a meal or you could just abstain from saying anything if you didn't like the meal. Personally I think for a sometimes meal that the meal was just fine. But once again my opinion doesn't really matter for her meal plan because it's hers right? But really it was a lovely meal dear and hope you enjoyed the Cirque soli show you got to see. I've always wanted to see one their shows although I have watched the videos on Netflix. I would not feel guilty for the one meal but rather just think about it as a wonderful life experience. How many of those do you get right it sounds like you had a wonderful time.

WHY DO YOU FEEL GUILTY? Thats a perfectly healthy meal. In fact, I eat like that daily! 😋 How was the show? I've never been but thought of going here in Atlanta. Steak is PERFECT with 🍤.

@everyone, thank you all. All of your advice was very helpful. Thank you for all of your support; I am ready for this change, but I am still working on my commitment and follow-through. I'm looking for a happy medium where I don't feel deprived or starved. Jebjabba, the show was nice, it was my first time seeing it. Today I fasted with lots of fluids to give the gut a rest from the red meat. I didn't even realize that A steak and eggs diet turns you into a fat burning furnace by allowing your body to burn fat. The liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies, which replaces glucose as an energy source.

Like it's been said, absolutely no reason to feel guilty. There are so many choices you could have made that would be less healthy than this. That would have been OK too as an occasional splurge. Even if your weight was up, if you get back to your normal WOE it should quickly drop again. This weight loss journey should be training you how to live life in a healthy way. Resteraunt meals are a part of that. Pat yourself on the back for doing it well ❤️

SherryeB, Thank you SherryeBm you're right!! self control, and a learning process. I'm overjoyed to have discovered fatsecret; in adding up the calories of foods we take for granted without recognizing how much they add up too.
