And you don’t have to pay $50 for lunch in the lodge!

Looks good to me ! Yesterday as a snack ( which isn’t often for me ) I had smashed pinto beans on a slice of toast. 😀

I do, too, Morticia. My husband and I both eat a lot of nuts, seeds, and peanuts. Thank goodness we can get them at a reasonable price from Sam's Club and Natural Grocers

Dylan -- we cross country ski on National Forest land, so there's no lodge. I'm sure we'd be packing and not paying if we went to a ski area, though 😉

Beans and toast are an awesome snack, honeebuns! We're never without canned beans in the house because they're so convenient and healthy. I made this bean dip from cannelini beans with some olive oil, tahini and nutritional yeast to make it taste a little cheesy

I always lost weight during harvest as there is nothing to eat but what I've packed in my *multiple* lunch boxes...yes, I fed those who packed an 8 hour work day lunch rather than the 16 hour lunch.
That said, I gave it the nickname of "captive eating" as it doesn't matter what you're craving when there's no way to get it.
Give it some thought and pack your food while you're will power is strong.
