debrafrederick's Journal, 30 June 2023

OK! It's been a busy couple of day and I have been running around chatting on everyone else's journal and not entering my own. I have been in a fantastic mood, I feel like I am moving forward AND I have progress! So far, down 14.7 lbs since June 6th. YAY!!! I took my measurements last week and I woke up a couple of days feeling like I was not taking up so much space. I started off a bit lopsided in my first set of measurements, that seems to have corrected it's self. Calves, thighs, arms are all the same size now....I have no idea what that was about. My current measurements:

Neck: 16, down 1 inch
Bust: 48, down 4 inches ( I ALWAYS lose my Boobs first)
Under Bust: 43, down 1 inch
Waist: 45, down 1 inch
Hips: 58, down 2 inches
Biceps : 16, down 3 inches on left arm and 2 on my right
Thighs: 30.5, No change in my left one and 1/2 inch in my right
Knees: 25, down 1 inch in my left and 2 in my right
Calves: 17.5, down 1/2 inch each

BP this morning 119/72 💕💕💕

I am 18.5 inches smaller all around 👏👏👏

I had seriously forgotten how good it feels to see progress with the measuring tape. I get me an Air bike tomorrow so I can crank up the exercise a few notches and see if I can get the kinks out of my hip. Which is also decreasing it's pain levels. I am sure it's simply more movement and less weight pressing down on it. I am at the end of day 2 of my three day fast and I am having no hunger, no weakness and I am looking forward to our trip to go get my bike tomorrow and visit some place I have never been 😁 You guys have a great day!!!

Thanks guys! I got my knee brace in today, it's really tight on my thigh, but feels really good on my knee...so either the top band will stretch or the thigh will shrink but less right hip pain and a more stable left knee, I don't move around like Lurch 😂

I am fairly certain that I was still packing post fee fluid when I took my first set of measurements and I had not stopped drinking fluids after 7pm so I was still waking up swollen in the mornings, I sleep on my left side so I guess the fluid was pooling and making me lopsided....I had never noticed it.

Could be, Deb. I might need to stop at 7 too. I haven't been long gotten to the point that I could drink water. I would not take in any fluids after coffee if I didn't have Mt. Dew or sweet tea. Now, I can't hardly stop drinking water. I bet my kidneys are dancing in the rain...lol. I was literally killing myself...smh. ...but like with any other addict, we don't realize it as long as we are getting a hit.

Thanks Diana! I'm trying to be logical and systematic and consistent this time around. Keeping to a steady schedule, not neglecting nutrition or gut biome including ALL intake, including water and keeping a small variety of fresh fruits in my eating days. Those are the items I neglected the first time around with Keto and fasting. So while the fasting days may seem excessive, they are the same as Alternate day fasting in total fasting hours, they are just done back to back instead of every other day. This is to get me the other time dependent benefits of fasting.

My boobs are always the first to go too. Annoying, lol. WTG on the inches gone.

Your breasts are 100% adipose tissue — you don’t just lose fat from hips, thigh. You lose it everywhere. Your exercise routine should include toning of the chest wall muscles to help maintain shape and as support for the breast tissue.

so happy for you and your progress is inspiring me to try and do a little bit more each day and eat a. little more healthier than the day before.

Kenna I dug out my arm bands and hand weights. I'm more focused right now on getting my knee and hip flexing correctly so I can walk and climb steps easier and not so prone to falls. But I have not neglected the arms and chest, the air bike I got today also works out the upper body in tandem with the legs, but I can lean over the seat and use it to just work my upper body. I also have a colostomy with a peri-stomal hernia, I really need to do some core work but first, I have to be able to get up and down off the floor....(sigh) baby steps. I seriously want to do it all, right here right now!!! But the risk of injuring myself or making a current issue worse by over doing it is causing me to use caution and slow and easy buildups to activity. I will probably start with slow 10-15 minute cycle rides and increase it weekly, the time and the speed.

Saranchrisriley, I'm glad my journey is helping you, that is very sweet of you to say. That's all I'm doing at the moment, moving forward....not charging forward. And being kind to myself because my body has supported me as best it can for 58 years. I want to return the favor now and it's responding well. Progress not perfection...

I do DDP Yoga in the mornings, it uses stretches and modified isometric exercise to strengthen and flex muscles all over the body. I am in the Couch to chair beginner version, it's helping.
