As far as I know you can't take those out. We burn calories all the time so that's part of our energy expenditure for the day. Are you looking to a calorie count for just activity/exercise?

On the FatSecret website, using the computer, the calories are broken into 2 categories - Activity/Exercise and Sleep/Rest - with a total for each. I don't know if your view is different from mine or if you're using an App on a phone or tablet.

Not sure...but you might be able to just put in "0" for those categories.

I view it as a good thing. Resting engergy expenditure is a legitimate calorie burner.

I've been tracking my exercise since 1984 when I started serious weight training. I've got to say that Fatsecret's method of tracking exercise is the most convoluted, unintuitive, complicated and unhelpful I've ever seen. I like using fatsecret for tracking what I eat, but don't use it for tracking exercise. :) I think it takes your calculated daily requirement, and subtracts exercises you enter. So, anything NOT entered is counted as RESTING or SLEEPING. The part I particularly dislike is: when I do enter an exercise for a day it wants to make that a default everyday exercise that pops up automatically whether I do them or not. Then CHANGING IT is not easy: instead of changing the hours/minutes of that automatic entry, I have to enter a NEGATIVe time in hours. This is on the Mac version, PC may vary?

Yes, we burn calories shopping, cleaning the home, mowing the lawn, pulling weeds in the garden, fixing breakfast, dinner and supper, and even burn calories RESTING ON THE COUCH after those chores. :)

BILLTECH66- I agree it just makes it more complicated.
