Michael-Anderson's Journal, 09 March 2015

I know that I am still under my RDI by almost 50% yet it feels like I'm stuffing myself. Today I ate a piece of apple pie, hello carbs, but oddly enough I do not feel bad about it. Today I have been pretty depressed, to much to soon for me and it threatens my whole path I've been on and it frankly pisses me off to no end. I am at a cross roads of sorts, do I continue with the struggle of loosing weight and diet-controlling my diabetes like a freaking God or just let it all slip away? Only time will tell, and if you are reading this then pray for me.

I have read your note and from miles away I will send you a sincere prayer. The prayer is for you to work hard to manage and control the cravings and challenges you face. You have great challenges but while I do not know you I do know the awe inspiring power of a very simple gift from God. God gave us free WILL….the choice to control and mange our destiny every single day. I am here to tell you it is WORTH THAT FIGHT……Forge ahead and while I do not know you I have taken the time to tell you one simple thing!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! I KNOW YOU ARE!

It is ALWAYS worth it. Make lifestyle changes not "diet" - take a walk, drink water, eat what helps keep your blood sugar stable, be assessed for depressive symptoms and maybe take medicine...It is ALWAYS worth it!

I had cheesecake last night. These things happen, but don't let it derail you. You are important and you need to believe that so you can make these changes. Think about how you want your life to be a year from now. You can continue struggling now and make progress or you can be facing the same dilemmas then. I know it is hard. I will keep a good thought for you.
