Good morning and welcome to DST!

I woke up after 8 am this morning as I went to bed well after midnight. I spent a lot of time researching and remembering some of the things that helped me to be successful in my low carb journey so far (the research continues). One of those things was a kind of Intermittent Fasting. So in addition to the other changes I am making to go back to what worked for me, I am going to reclaim that. What this means for me is that I have my bulletproof coffee (made with 1 tbsp. coconut oil and whiz in the blender to make it creamy/foamy) to start the day and I don't start eating until maybe 12 or 1 pm. The key is to eat food within an eight hour window. period and full stop. So that could be between 12pm - 8pm. Eat good wholesome foods. Repeat that every day. So I started my day today with warm lemon water, bullet proof coffee and I will have more water and hold until I am hungry.

I don't know exactly why I strayed away from my "ish" but I did. "Ish" is a term I came up with to describe a unique formula that works specifically for me. Everyone needs to find their "ish" and work it in order to be successful at whatever they do. It is a evolutionary process and can be transformative if we really pay attention to our body and the internal (emotional, mental) cues as we go along. My "ish" is based on the fact that what works for me may not work for you (and vice-versa) but, you may find some part of it that can be applied to your WOE. That is why I came up with the term .... my low-carb is "wholefood-ish", "paleo-ish", "atkins-ish", "IIFYM-ish", "intermittent fasting-ish" .... I apply it to other areas of my life such as being a parent (I am my mother-ish) and working (I am a workaholic-ish). It's not scientific, it's alchemist-ish! Have a wonderful day friends ... and be golden!

Love it Jenn!!! Also when you said welcome to DST I did a double take, that is the name of the transfer agent/ software company I work for!!! Defiantly agree on your "ish" theory. My plan wouldn't work for anyone but me in my crazy eclectic way of cooking and exploring the world through food. Need get on the move as that 8:41 on my clock is no longer the "real time" Catching up on here and reading my new cookbook.
