Good Morning All, feeling myself again. Just wanted to share a few things with you, first of all, about a month or so ago I had told you that I was getting my mother-in-laws treadmill. Well, yesterday she finally moved and my husband brought it home. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy me. That BIG ginormous thing is right in the middle of my dining room and there is no way not to see it, also a plus. This morning I measured myself, I have gained 1/2 inch everywhere in two weeks. Yes, it is time to get my a** in gear.
On one last note, I may or may not have ever said this out loud before, but I have come to realize that I am completely afraid of commitment with anything. Time to learn to grow up and make some real choices. I know I have to use that treadmill or my husband is gonna start to say something. Anyway, thanks for listening, I hope you all had a great weekend. I am off to walk on the treadmill and watch a movie. You never know, I may like this better, having the treadmill at home and not have to fix my hair, brush my teeth and even waste gas just to to a workout.
Have a wonderful and blessed day, I know I will. :)

Great that you've got the treadmill Sherrie. For me the exercise was more of a chore in the beginning, once I got used to it and my fitness got better I would look forward to doing it and getting the rush/high afterwards. Still it's a day to day thing and sometimes have to make myself do it. So a day at a time, wishing you success as you get started.

Im peanut butter and jealous about the treadmill..and I totally understand about the commitment part.. what helps me is if I handle it one day at a time... I just say .. today i will stay low carb and walk 10k.. and then I tell my bff and my husband and who ever i can think that will help hold me accountable.. its been working so far for a few weeks.. as long as i say .. today im going to the gym and then i just make it happen .. Good luck on your journey!

You're giving it a chance. That's what matters at the moment. If you're feeling too pressured and don't want to commit try picking 1 or 2 days out of the week and give it a try. Watching tv while walking will keep you occupied. By the way, nice profile picture.

Word of advice, don't EVER ALLOW anything to be hung on it! Also make sure whatever you are watching while working out engages your mind. When you are walking outside you are constantly having to be aware of the terrain, the weather, the traffic, etc. I've found that walking without something that engages my brain, becomes tedious and easy to resent. Big fan of Family Feud - Thank you Steve Hardy for keeping me engaged for 30 minutes! Not so much DDD, while I love Guy and the program, it just keeps you focused on what are you going to eat whenever you finally can get off the treadmill.

I too agree with the watching something .. i take my tablet to the treadmill all the time and it keeps me from getting board and wanting to stop after 20 minutes..

From another treadmill fan....yes, I watch TV, movies, read, whatever keeps me moving. The only things that hang on my treadmill are my towel and my water bottle holder, and I keep it that way!

Awesome !! I like having exercise things in my living room, I walk on my trampoline often if it's sitting there.

So easier to have it at home! My husband set up my treadmill so there's like a 'table' in the front.. where the display is... so times when I just wanna stroll, I can put the computer there and watch a movie or surf the net...

Moving is good, slow or fast, whole lot better than sittin' on your butt. I'm also trying to keep moving, it's healthier especially if you have a desk job and are "chained" to your desk all day.

I catch up my fave tv shows on mine, it makes the time fly. I got a roku and a tv and put them right infront of the treadmill.

My gazelle is a rack sometimes for clean laundry in the basement, hard to hang clothes on an exercise trampoline. Use it!!!
