debrafrederick's Journal, 10 November 2014

I am struck by the bizarreness of my measurements this week.

Bust- 51 up half an inch from 50.5
Waist- 41 - same
Hips- 56 - up one inch from 55
Thighs- 27 - down 1.5 inches from 28.5
Knees- 20 - down 2.0 inches from 22
Neck - 16 same
Bicep - 14 down 1/2 inch from 14.5

That is a total of -2.50 inches, but I can't fathom how I can gain an inch in my hips and half an inch in my bust while losing 2 lbs and inches in my legs. I did note in an earlier entry the jiggly loose fat, that seems to be getting worse, can the "squidgy fat and woosh" thing be responsible for that type of increase, or is my exercise toning up my muscles and causing increases in those areas? I have increased my modified pushups from 15 to 30 in the last two weeks, maybe it's making my boobs tighter? If you guys have any insights I would appreciate it. This is my first time taking measurements while losing weight. Before it was all about the scale.

My only thought is that tape measurements are good because you might be replacing fat weight with muscle.

I'm not opposed to building muscle, but I really expected to get smaller and tighter, not larger :)

I hear you, but it's useful feedback you wouldn't have if you weren't measuring.
