It's all right, you will lose it. I would add a lot of water to flush out that sodium, the gain is probably mostly water retention. Good luck!

Water weighs a lot and you said your sodium was a little higher. Don't stress about it. I bet it will got back down soon.

dont worry just stay with it body is just getting used to it. Sodium helps holding the water weight. mixing your calorie intake a couple days changing up your diet and excersize a bit and trick the body into not thinking a certain amount is normal is the answer so stay with it

You’ve got this! I’m astonished at how far you’ve come! That’s real determination and to be applauded, you’ll get to your goal no doubt. December has not been a good month for me either.

Thank you everyone 😊 I'm going to try to increase my water a little bit more I drink quite a bit now but I'm going to try to drink a little bit more which I like water and I'm going to try to switch out my diet a little bit to switch out stuff that has less sodium in it and hopefully that'll work.

This is an informative video about weight loss:"Is It Bad to Lose Weight Too Quickly?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNfNymGpulc. I do the Inchworm Method which is to focus on losing and maintaining around 20 lbs per year of weight loss, it helps me tweak my exercise and nutrition for healthy longevity. Last year I lost 20 lbs and kept it off. I will do the same method keeping my calories no more than a -250 cal per day deficit. It isn't fast, but it is effective and a lot easier on your emotions and lifestyle. Health is a blessing.

You'd be amazed how much sodium can cause water retention. I'm going to bet that's it. I would often go nearly 2 weeks with hardly any loss, then then over the next 2 weeks that followed I would lose 5lbs. This is one of the hardest things that happens when trying to lose weight! If I were you I wouldn't drop to 1000 cals. I'd keep it at least 1200 otherwise your metabolism might become more sluggish and try to hold on even more. Your body needs a certain amount to keep it running optimally. Just hang in there. Also when I cut calories too low and there isn't any weight loss I start questioning whether its worth the pain. I agree with your husband that if you just continue eating at your calorie range it will come off eventually. Another thing that helped me was to try and trick my metabolism by not eating the same amount of calories each day. but still always eating at least 1200. Or add a little extra activity today. It will come off Brenda! It's hard to believe but you just gotta keep the faith!!!!

If your diet isn't working for you, you might need to reevaluate. I'm eating probably 1800-3000 calories a day and losing, so it may not be how many calories, but what kind of calories. If your below a certain threshold, your body may hold on to fat because it thinks your starving. It might be worth checking out Dr Ken Berry on YouTube

bearnoggin, Thank you I thought about what you said and I appreciate all the help and I believe I will just stick to 1200 calories a day and I won't go any lower I don't want to shut everything down because I work hard thank you very much!

I would like to thank everyone for their comment and I really appreciate it and I'm going to go ahead and just stick to my 1200 calorie and just try to watch my sodium and everything and go from there.
