I've been overeating - and I'm not sure if it's emotional, or my body trying to adjust, or stress. Either way, I can't seem to tell myself to stop. Once everyone goes to bed, I keep getting up and eating 'just one more thing'

800 - Step
900 - Granola Bar
1200 - PB Banana Sandwich
200 - Mango and a packet of Oyster Crackers
500 - Tofu and Veggie Stir Fry, 2 Dove Caramel Promises, Mini Twix
800 - Homemade Popcorn
900 - Craisin and Pudding Cup
930 - Two pieces of toast with peanut butter

Total: 2103

Are you craving certain foods? Maybe see if there's a common nutrient. Sometimes I'll find myself craving meat and I'll realize I need more iron, or citrus fruits for vitamin c, bananas and tomatos for potassium, etc... I hope whether its nutrient, stressor emotion that it gets easier quickly <3

My problem is once I eat a bit too much I tell myself I've ruined it anyway and may aswell eat EVERYTHING I can get my hands on. I am sometimes scared to eat too much in one go because of calories adding up so I end up eating little bits all day long, feeling hungry and at the end eating way more than I would've! Are you feeling hungry in the evenings or do you just feel like eating?

I'm definitely hungry in the evening, and a lot of it is not eating enough during the day because I'm afraid to add those calories. I end up craving peanut butter with toast or cereal - lots of high carb/fiber items. And then I end up binging on sweets. I think if I gave myself something slightly sweet and filling after dinner, I'd be okay but it's a matter of finding what that could be and stopping after that instead of having little bits throughout the night.

I am a big fan of strawberries with light whip cream. It's one of my very favorite sweet treats. Half a pound of strawberries is about 70 calories, 3 tablespoons if light whipped cream us 30 calories. 100 calorie, filling dessert like snack. The other day I was starving for something sweet (cut outbaked sweets for lent) and I sat down, stuffed myself full on a pound of strawberries and 6 tablespoons of light whipped cream, 200 calories.

That sounds like a great idea! I think I was nervous because it was dairy but that's what I used to eat before and I think a couple tablespoons of the light treat is a lot better than what I'm doing now.

I checked my container and there's only one ingredient that's derived from milk (sodium casienate) and it's after the *less then 2% label. Sorry, I didn't evdn consider the avoiding milk thing. I think the less then 2% amount in a few tablespoons would be really negligible, for what that's worth =)

Thank you, very helpful! What brand is it?

It's HyVee store brand. I've noticed that when I can't find hyvee brand in the database great value, costco, kroger etc... store brands are almost always identicle. So I'd assume any store brand is going to have similar ingredients and statistics.
