Hey FSF. I want to share my struggle for anyone who needs to hear it today. Last week I completed a self challenge to have a 5,000 calorie deficit and succeeded by Friday. I had dropped down to 200.8 pounds. Then on Saturday I ate double what my daily calorie allowance is. On Sunday morning my weight spiked up to 206.2 pounds and I thought "how can this be? That doesn't even make mathematical sense based on the number of calories I ate." I didn't post my weight gain to FS because of how frustrated and ashamed of myself I was. But something happened that tells me my commitment to living healthy is growing stronger, I didn't give up. Instead of dwelling on my poor choices the day prior I greeted my day and said "thank you lord for my sobriety! please God give me the strength to live with integrity today." He graced me with strength. I got out the door, honored my commitment to my nephew and took him snowboarding. Had a wonderful and blessed day on the mountain. Checked in with my mom and step-dad when I dropped him off. Ate dinner with them and discussed my mom's weight loss journey. She is just beginning hers and now we can share our struggles together, and our success. I renewed my commitment to health and by this morning my weight has dropped back down to 200.6 If this recovering alcoholic can fix a flat tire and keep driving in the right direction so can you. To anyone who needs to hear this today I believe in you. I'm proud of you for taking a step towards health and wellness. You are worth the effort it takes to live healthy!
