Modiggi's Journal, 08 January 2014

Ok, so today I got a scale that actually measured me. I'm 414, not 405. This is concerning because two years ago I was at 375 and I thought I'd never get back above 400 but here I am. I think I did rather well with food today. Its difficult to not be overly full all of the time but it will take some getting used to.

One of these days I'll get around to actually exercising but I think the food control needs to come first. Made a healthy choice today when I was out shopping and got really hungry (around lunch time) and grabbed a salad instead of stopping by McDonalds inside WalMart.

walk as much as you can and stay away from kitchen as much as possible, take one step at a time and you will see the difference....keep the good work up...

I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm only down 15 pounds but I can already tell a difference when I go up and down stairs. Don't get me wrong, it is still work and I hold on the handrail but it is easier than it was. I actually set a goal of being able to go up and down stairs without assistance (such as not using the handrail). It wouldn't be a goal for everyone but it is for me.

Think of this as a new lifestyle. A new way of thinking. You've already made a major step in the right direction! Keep in your mind "I CAN do this". I also suggest the stairs without assistance as Joelmel said. You can find some type of exercise to fit you whether it's walking to the mailbox instead of driving if you live in the country, like I do. Kudos to you for your new beginning!
