I'm staying at a resort in Laughlin, Nevada this week. We're enjoying full hookups (electric, water and s sewer) at the resort's RV park. It's been warm here, but it's been nice to cool off in the air conditioning after finishing my walks. The highlight of my week was getting my first photos of a real live roadrunner.
Photo Description:
1) This is the Riverside resort. It's one of the many hotel/casinos here. We're staying at the Riverside RV park, which is right across the street from the hotel.
2 & 3) This is a greater roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus). I've seen them before, but this was the first one that didn't immediately take off when it saw me, so I was able to snap some pictures.
4) This is the path through the RV park. I've been using this path to do my walks.
5 & 6) The RV park is on a large hillside, with our campsite being at the top of the hill. I took a walk an evening walk and got these pictures of the city lights below. There are tons of hotel/casinos here to choose from. It's like a mini Las Vegas.
