StarlillyRose's Journal, 30 May 2019

This is interesting and I learned yesterday, why I don't want to eat a lot of sugary things... I did it, it tasted good, and then I crashed hard about an hour later. I was trying to pay attention in class. I didn't know that donating blood had other health benefits, either, that's interesting.

I didn't know there were benefits. I rarely can because they tell me I'm anemic. But it was interesting that google offered: Reduce harmful iron stores. According to the Mayo Clinic, one in every 200 people in the U.S. is affected by a condition called hemochromatosis that causes an iron overload. ... Preserve cardiovascular health. ... Reduce the risk cancer. ... Burn calories. ... Free blood analysis. ... Give you a sense of pride.

Yep, that's what I found too. This was only the 2nd time I've donated, I generally hate getting stuck for any reason, so I have to be in just the right mood, and the blood drive has to be in a place I am familiar with and am mostly comfortable.

starlilly rose, what are your reaction to peanut butter and wheat?

@jaimejay, I have no idea what reaction I have to peanuts or peanut butter, I've never really noticed one before. I have an unknown skin condition (super sensitive) my 1/2 sister, dad, and paternal grandmother all have it too. My sister said that her skin cleared up when she went gluten free, and I think my dad had something similar happen. I'm also starting to think that the GI issues I've been having are probably from the wheat.
