So I'm getting into week two of induction. Unfortunately, I feel like I will probably spend at least a month in this stage due to my downfalls. I never do well when I'm out with friends. It just becomes too much effort sometimes to think about every single thing I go to eat. So this weekend wasn't the best for the low-carb life style. I suppose it could have been a lot worse though. Friday and Saturday night the only down fall was some wine. Sunday morning though I ate some chipped beef on toast and then a cheese steak later. It was a bad day for sure. I started things strong again on Monday so hopefully I'll be able to keep things better through this weekend. It was a bit hectic having friends in town and being out pretty much the entire time. It will be nice getting into a food routine. Tonight I mixed up a big batch of egg salad and prepped some salad greens to take for lunch. Hopefully with everything pre-made it will save time and money. I did not weigh in on Sunday either so I will be doing that tomorrow morning. Hopefully the scale won't totally discourage me. My highlight of the week is that my brand new treadmill is arriving this week! I'm so excited to get back to running. It's been near impossible since daylight savings time started. I just don't get off work early enough to run outside and just don't have the motivation to get up earlier in the morning. But, that's the start of this week and hopefully tomorrow's weigh in won't be too disheartening!

So life is going on about the same as usual. I've been sticking to the diet plan very well, which is always a plus! I often forget how easy Atkin's is most of the time. Going out with others when they are ordering pizza, subs and fries can be tough, but I know deep down they're probably jealous of my will power to order a salad (or at least that's what I tell myself). Of course said salad is loaded with yummy stuff like eggs, bacon, cheese and meat! I am always a bit leery of dressings when I'm out though, without a nutritional label it's hard to know exactly what kind of ranch they might be giving me (light, fat-free, etc).
I jumped on the scale today just to peek and see if it's moved. It has! I'm not posting numbers until my official way in day on Sunday but seeing some progress is always nice. I've some what gotten off of running as I had been. I might just wait until my treadmill arrives and get things going on that again. By then I should be pretty well through induction and onto ongoing weight loss.
